Duties of this role:
  • The officers are required to examine crime exhibits, visit scenes of crime, to depose expert evidence in courts and to assist Senior Officer. The responsibilities attached with the posts also require research and development.

  • Master’s degree in Physics or Chemistry or Computer Science or Forensic Science with Physics or Chemistry or Forensic Science or Computer Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent*.Note- * Equivalent qualification may be treated as NIL.OR B.E./B.Tech in Computer Engineering or MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science from a recognized university or equivalent**.
    Note**Equivalent means B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/Information Technology / Electronics & Communication Engineering / M.Sc. in Information Technology / Masters in Computer Application / Bachelor of Engineering in Electricals & Electronics / B.E. in Electronics & Instrumentation / M.Sc. in Cyber Security.
  • Experience:3 years experience of analytical methods/research therein in the relevant field.
  • note: The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the commission.Experience of Analytical methods/Research in the relevant field means experience in the field of identification of handwriting, typewriting, printing matters, analysis of Ink and other allied problems.
  • Desired Qualification:Doctorate Degree in concerned discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
Payscale & Benefits
As per 7th CPC- Level-10 (Rs. 56100 – 177500/-) in the Pay Matrix. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56100/- plus DA as applicable per month.)
Age limits:
  • Should not exceed 35 years for General category candidates as on the normal closing date.
  • Should not exceed 40 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates as on normal closing date
  • Note:Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government/UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time.
