Duties of this role:
  • The officers are required to examine crime exhibits, visit scenes of crime, to depose expert evidence in courts and to assist Senior Officer. The responsibilities attached with the posts also require research and development.

  • Master’s degree in Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent* Note:M. Sc. (Applied Physics) may be taken as equivalent*
  • Experience:3 years experience of analytical methods/research therein in the **relevant field.
  • note: The qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the commission in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes.**Relevant experience means Research/Analytical experience in the field of Ballistics/Physics
  • Desired Qualification:Doctorate degree in concerned discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.
Payscale & Benefits
As per 7th CPC- Level-10 (Rs. 56100 – 177500/-) in the Pay Matrix. (Total emoluments excluding T.A. and HRA at the time of initial appointment will be Rs. 56100/- plus DA as applicable per month.)
Age limits:
  • Should not exceed 35 years for General category candidates as on the normal closing date.
  • Should not exceed 40 years for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates as on normal closing date
  • Note:Relaxable for regularly appointed Central Government/UT Government Servant upto five years as per instructions/orders issued by Govt. of India from time to time.
